Since we are going back to our cabin in the woods Since we are going back to our cabin in the woods this weekend, here’s a few clips from last time we were there, back in February. Such precious moments including my mum teaching the girls cross-country skiing, Kevin and me enjoying @lilliannordbo’s delicious homemade plum liqueur, and the girls building snow lanterns at night. 💫 This Friday, when we’ll be venturing across the lake again, hopefully the snow and ice will be all gone, and maybe, just maybe the island will whisper of spring. 🕊️
I’ve been sick for most of January, a rather persi I’ve been sick for most of January, a rather persistent infection that I cannot seem to shake. Here’s a collection of dear moments though - the things I choose to remember: 1. The very first snowdrop! Our youngest brought it home for me, - a much treasured gift 2. Ice skating on the little lake surrounding our cabin (where we row in the summer) 3. Such beautiful ice crystals on our cabin’s windows 4. Sunday oatmeal pancakes 5. Low winter sun and borrowing my mum’s shoes 6. A Sunday walk to Ledaal 7. Putting on a dress for twirling (because January needs mores dancing) 8. New bedding that feels like resting in spring 9. Our snow-kissed neighbourhood 10. A double batch of granola 11. Hot chocolate in the sparkling cold 12. Winter wonderland 13. A surprise mother’s day lunch 14. The light, returning at long last to our kitchen 15. Arctic fox shenanigans ❄️
