«Spring is that you?» We’ve had a slow stay-a «Spring is that you?»

We’ve had a slow stay-at-home kind of weekend: Scrubbing flower pots, cleaning winter away, sowing pea flowers and dahlia bulbs. Walking barefoot in the sweet sun rays, while hiding from the winter lurking in the shade.

(Swipe for a few iphone videos clips of documentation -> )

How was your weekend, friend?

Since then I’ve cried and cried at speeches, danced with brides into the small hours of the night, lured my couples into all kinds of strange locations (they always forgive me when they see the pictures though), and just loved (almost) every second of the crazy emotional ride that is being a wedding photographer.

Here’s a few favourite frames from a wedding last year, and just a little reminder that I still feel so incredibly honoured to be allowed to tell love stories such as these. 🤍
Waffles for the weekend, anyone? (To be honest thi Waffles for the weekend, anyone? (To be honest this was the very last of the batter, and as you can see it’s not even fully formed - but well, the beauty of imperfections, right? And completely spontaneous food photography).

Anyway, tonight I’m exhausted and just hanging out in the couch with my oldest playing Heroes of might and magic (does anyone else even remember that game? It’s our forever favourite 🧞‍♂️🧚🧝🏻‍♀️🧙🏻‍♂️🐉).

Happy weekend friends!

Our youngest got this snow suit from her grandma f Our youngest got this snow suit from her grandma for Christmas, and I am obsessed with the fabric (and the way it catches the light)! It’s all coffee-raspberry-caramel-eucalyptus with just hint of stardust.

Usually I’m all for using plain earth colours in my photos, - but I am also a sucker for a delicate botanical pattern from time to time.

I’m curious: Do you have favourite fabrics/patterns when shooting?
Hey friends, I miss you! After reposting a meme t Hey friends, I miss you!

After reposting a meme to stories yesterday (depicting my frustration about reels taking over instagram), my inbox has caught fire. So, so many of you share my feelings. So many of you create incredible art and are completely ignored by the algorithm (which somehow seems to favour reels reposted from tiktok with really lousy acting these days).

I see you. I feel you. I know it hurts.

But after all the beautiful conversations today, I’ve realized that, despite everything, - at least we are in this together. 🖤
