2021 is an open promise. I’ve not yet filled it with plans and goals, I’m taking my precious time, settling into it slowly.
Tonight there’s still a few glowing embers in the fireplace, the cold night is falling, and as I am reading to my oldest, Bilbo has just been reunited with his dear friends after much hardship.

And 2021, I do believe in you too.

The girls have been singing Christmas songs and eating tangerines in the backseat most of the way, and I feel incredibly grateful for being able to spend the holidays with my dear ones.

But there will also be chaos, I know. Tantrums, tangles and tears. And I will try to breathe slowly, move slowly, with an open mind. And if I cannot, that is all right too, because I will gather my thoughts and try again, and again. Because this is christmas, too. 🤎
This beautiful bundle of universe visited me in my This beautiful bundle of universe visited me in my studio a little while ago. There was sunlight, crinkled sheets, loads of snuggles and it was all rather glorious. 🤎

Today though, I’ve had one of those days when my mind has been all over the place, reading about Russian ballet dancers and getting lost in the weird side of youtube. I’m also, ironically, working on reorganizing my routines and my workday.

I’m curious; what’s your biggest distractor? (Mine is definitely insta 🙈), and how do you deal with distraction, and find your focus?
Happy first Sunday of Advent, friends! 🌟 I’m Happy first Sunday of Advent, friends! 🌟

I’m curious; is the lighting of the candles (one each Sunday until Christmas) just a Scandinavian thing? Do you light Advent candles?
